30 Days Return Policy

We here at Birgie Diamonds understand that in some cases due to personal and physical reasons you might want or need to return your product. To provide our customers with more choice, we have a no questions asked return policy, which enables you to return your product back to Birgie Diamonds with in a 30 day period starting from the date you receive your package through shipping. In case of a return you will receive a full refund via your method of original payment. Personally engraved items are not returnable and resizing will ruin the engraving. Please be sure to confirm ring size before ordering. Please also note that special orders are not returnable.


If you have paid using the wire transfer method, Birgie Diamonds will issue a company check for your refund. The credit will be issued to you within three days of receiving the return. We do not accept returns if another jeweller has altered or the item or if it shows obvious signs of wear and damage caused by the customer. Keep in mind some eternity style rings and patterned wedding bands are impossible to resize. We consider these to be special orders and they are not returnable. To avoid confusions you can request one of our ring size measurer with no extra charge, to confirm your size before ordering.


For all other returns and Ring Resizing - Please write to us via mail at info@birgiediamonds.com, to receive a Return Authorization Code. You must have this code to return any item.


Please review the steps below when returning your item;

  • Place the item back in its original packaging. Be sure to include the certification and appraisal paperwork. (Important note: Failure to return these documents may result in a fee of up to $100.)
  • Request your Return Authorization code by e-mailing us at info@birgiediamonds.com. Once you receive this code, write it on the label marked "return" on the bottom of your invoice. Then, cut out the label and tape it to the outside of the box in which you are returning the item. For security purposes, do not write the company name or return address on the packaging.
  • Check the list price of your item on your original invoice, then choose the appropriate option below:

a- If the list price of the item is less than $500: Ship the item back to us via any carrier you choose. For your protection, insure the package and request confirmation that the package has been received. Birgie Diamonds is not responsible for the loss or damage of return packages.

b- If the list price of the item is more than $500: You must return the package to us with one of the carrier companies we will inform you about. The reason for this process is due to the fact that most carrier companies do not insure packages that are worth high in cost. These carriers will be provided to you along with your authorization code and if there are more than one you will be able to choose the carrier you would like to work with. For your protection, insure the package and request confirmation that the package has been received. Birgie Diamonds is not responsible for the loss or damage of return packages.

c- Please be sure to include your name and order number!


What happens next?

Once we receive your returned item, we will examine the product and notify you via e-mail regarding the status of your return request. In most cases, this notification will arrive within five business days.


Please note: We will not accept items that are unauthorized, packaged incorrectly or improperly insured. These items will be returned to you. Additionally, Birgie Diamonds will not accept the return of any item that has been damaged, engraved, re-sized or otherwise altered by a third party.

Our Refunds Policy

When we receive a product returned to us for refund and are satisfied with its condition and the reason for return, we will process a refund for the full amount that was paid for the item in the same form of payment, and account, originally used for the purchase. If you have not received your refund within 7 working days after we receive your product, then please contact us at info@birgiediamonds.com for assistance. If we have agreed to refund the postal cost incurred returning a product to us, this will be done in the form of a cheque.


This refunds policy does not affect your statutory rights.


Our Exchange Policy

We will happily exchange your item as long as it is returned in pristine condition and satisfies the criteria for returning an item as outlined above.


In the covering note accompanying your return, we would ask you to include details of which item you would like to exchange it for and also your contact details so we can contact you if necessary.


If there is any extra charge to pay, we will contact you so that payment can be made over the phone.


If there is a partial refund due then this will be credited back onto the card used for the original transaction.


This exchange policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Faulty Items

In the unlikely event that your product develops a fault within a short and reasonable period from receipt then you can return it to us and, if we find it to be faulty, we shall exchange it for you. If, however, the fault is due to excessive wear or accidental damage you will not be eligible for an exchange. If it is found to be faulty we shall also refund your postal expenses in the form of a cheque. Please note we cannot make any concrete promises to exchange an item, or issue a postal refund, until we have seen and assessed the item.

Cooling Off Period

Except in relation to Personalised Jewelry, when you order from us online, you are entitled to a cooling off period when you can return your goods without any penalty. Our cooling off period is 30 days, which includes any statutory cooling off period.


This period starts the day the contract is agreed (i.e. you receive an email from us saying we have despatched your order) and ends 30 days after the day following delivery of the goods.


Personalised jewellery and special orders is excluded from the cooling off period guarantee, unless Birgie Diamonds is at fault.

Cancelling an Order Before Despatch

If you change your mind after placing an order, you can cancel it at any time before we despatch it by telephoning us. You will need to give as your name and address details, as well as your order number.

Right to Cancel

You have the right to cancel your order at any time between now and 30 days after you (or the person you ask us to ship the products to) receive your items. Certain exceptions to this cancellation right apply, they are set out below.


This right to cancel is inclusive of the 14 day statutory cancellation right that you have, but is in addition to your rights to return defective or damaged goods and your other legal rights.


To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us clearly of your decision to cancel. We recommend that you do this by email to info@birgiediamonds.com or by using our online cancellation form as this reduces the risk of any dispute about whether or not you have cancelled.

Personalised Jewelry Orders

When you order Personalised Jewellery from our website, we will create or customise a specific and potentially unique piece of jewellery designed around your own specific requirements.


You may change your mind and notify us that you wish to cancel your order for Personalised Jewellery at any time before you receive our email that confirms acceptance of your order for Personalised Jewellery.


Once you have received our order acceptance email, a binding agreement will be formed and you will no longer have the ability to cancel your order.


If your item is faulty or does not match the specifications contained in your order, you should:


  • Contact our Customer Services team at info@birgiediamonds.com TO BE CONFIRMED.


  • We will send you a pre-paid package in which to return your items so that postage will be free for you.


  • Place the item into its original presentation box and make sure that the parcel is sealed securely. You should also place a copy of your despatch note into the parcel.


  • If the item is in its original condition, we will refund the goods.


    Please note that we are unable to accept returns to store for Personalised or Engraved items.
